The Year of 1929

 

The lichun for 1929 was 4 February 1929 15:02, 庚日元, weak, 七杀偏财透干. This was the beginning of the major crash in Dow Jones. 庚辰柱 created a vacuum in the 申 and 酉. These 2 items represent metal and 申 represent career to Yang metal. If i divide the the 4 pillars into 3 months each, then the final represent the period beginning from Oct 1929 to Jan 1930. where 甲申柱落空亡. 

Looking at feng shui perspective, 四绿运, 八百入中宫, 三煞在东:

There is Chinese civil war in the east, though it began much earlier in 1927. 

Moving on to I Ching, we were given Hexagram47 - 'Confining'. 

Hexagram47 is not a good hexagram, it indicates oppression. 妻财持世, by right supposed to be good when it comes to the subject of seeking wealth. Which the index actually did from Jan 1929 - Sep 1929, the index was up another +26%. Then things started to turn for the worse in Oct 1929. 

Finally moving to the market itself, my composite model showed 1930 to be much worse than 1929. In the case of the market, the index only started to drop in Oct, so it fairly reflect the environment at the time. 

Then moving to the confidence model, the model was also spot on in identifying the peak, putting it in Sep 1929. 

On the other hand, Year 9 of the Jupiter cycle usually is bullish, which was correct for the first nine months of 1929, and then became bearish. 

Decennial Pattern was also relatively spot on in pointing that the 1H1929 will be bullish too.
